As we approach the end

Samhain

The wind still blows

The rain still rains

I feel it too

lots of things are ending

And giving way to freedom again

A freedom that exists so often

in the bittersweet

Undoing

You held on so tight

And I didn’t step

perhaps I gave too much rope

It was easier that way

Even though I knew

This day would come

A bird must fly

Spread its wings
